Scott joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police at the age of 19 years old which led to 23 years of committed service and a desire to help people.  Scott worked in Narcotics for many years and finished his career in investigating homicides.  Throughout those years, Scott studied the behavior of those who were addicted and/or mentally ill.  Over the years Scott This lead to his passion to work with those suffering, and wanted to understand, to refocus and redirect those whose crimes were attached to their addiction, and find alternatives other than the prison system.

Scott believes “. . .that empathy is a gift and so is an ability to really understand and analyze a problem from any number of perspectives, without the 'expected bias' or somebody's 'pre-judgment' getting in the way.  I have been truly blessed in my life by the experiences I have had.  I have gratefully walked with so many people along a myriad of diverse pathways and each trail has been a new and exciting exploration of personal potentials.”

Scott is an investigative writer and has written as an RCMP Officer for most of his life.  He states, “My pledge to you is that I will present 'You' in the best possible light through our comprehensive Bio-Psycho-Social defense-based reporting system.”  Sentencing Services strives to attain the 'win-win' result on the client’s behalf and to seek a court disposition that has been based upon a fully informed decision-making process.
